HIT™-Blue are unique chemically competent cells, which utilise a novel transformation protocol-High Ice Transformation. A simple ice incubation from 1-10 minutes is all that is required to transform the cells to high efficiency. There is no requirement for heat shock or recovery step.

Efficiency Levels
Each HIT™ shipment is -70°C electronically monitored and recorded for minimum efficiency guarantee.

HIT™ Value 108-Blue:
Minimum efficiency is 1 x 107 transformants/μg pUC19

Applications and Genotype
The HIT™ Blue strain allows blue-white color screening for recombinant plasmids and is an excellent host strain for routine cloning application using plasmid or lambda vectors.
