In order to maintain the high quality of MagCore cartridges, RBC has re‐created a new model to replace the old one which has been used more than 3 years. In the meantime, new plastic material has applied to make MagCore Cartridge sturdy and unbreakable, with new plastic material, the appearance of MagCore Cartridge looks bright and transparent when compares with old one, it brings better image to end user at quality concerned as well as easily visual inspection. About the Quality of new MagCore Cartridge, RBC has done all necessary tests (see below tables) to prove that the new cartridge doesn’t affect the performance of purification or downstream applications.
The new mold MagCore Cartridge with new raw material has been applied to MagCore Vial and Total RNA kit (code. 201, 202, 601, 610) for manufacture since June 1st 2013, all MagCore products will be utilized new cartridges commencing from upcoming July. However it is possible that you might receive the new or old cartridges in the different kits in the following 3 months due to our stock condition. (There won’t be two different types of cartridges combine at one kit ).

The Fast Ion™ Plasmid Midi Advanced Kit is designed to isolate high-quality plasmid DNA for use in eukaryotic transfection and in vitro expression experiments. The kit provides a rapid method for purification of plasmid DNA (200 ODV ≧500 µg; 400 ODV ≧ 800 µg) and use pre-packed anion exchange resin columns to purify plasmid.
In the process, the modified alkaline lysis method and RNase treatment are used to get cleared cell lysate with minimal genomic DNA and RNA contaminants. Following binding of the plasmid DNA to the column, the contaminants can be washed off with wash buffer. Finally, the purified plasmid DNA is eluted with a high salt buffer and precipitated with isopropanol for desalting.
